CLASS STYLES
YOGA BASICS / BEGINNERS YOGA
New to Yoga? Improve focus and learn about proper breathing, body awareness/alignment and yoga props as well as the philosophy of yoga. We meet you where you are at on the mat and provide variations for poses. Our smaller classes provide more personalized instruction.

AM/PM STRETCH / GENTLE YOGA
Stretch and breathe! This class and emphasizes breath and body awareness. It provides an introduction to yoga postures, also called “Asanas”. This is a great class for those new to yoga and/or for those who are looking to unwind. You may not work up a sweat, but you should end up leaving class feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed.

HATHA YOGA
Tune into your body and your breath. In addition to breath and body awareness, this class provides an emphasis on stretching, strengthening, balance, foundation and proper physical alignment. Hatha yoga is a much more general term that can really mean any type of physical yoga, although it is often used to indicate a class that is not flow-oriented. Class may include some Vinyasa flow, but the point is not to raise your heart rate or try to get your leg behind your head. It’s to really tune into your body and your breath.
VINYASA / FLOW
Get into the Flow! Vinyasa (pronounced "vin-yah-sah") is a Sanskrit word for a phrase that roughly translates as "to place in a special way," referring—in hatha yoga—to a sequence of poses. Vinyasa yoga classes are known for their fluid, movement-intensive practices. Vinyasa yoga teachers sequence their classes to smoothly transition from pose to pose, with the intention of linking breath to movement. The intensity of the practice is similar to Ashtanga, but no two Vinyasa yoga classes are the same.
